Fed up of the scare-mongering state of the modern media? Good news is a news site that scours the web and
only reports good news stories. Stories without the negativity that seems to pervade the news today. This could
be any positive news story such as an act of human kindness, a scientific breakthrough, a good policy decision
or just something light hearted.
Each news story we scan is put through a text analytics and sentiment analysis model to predict if it’s good news
or not. We then use a confidence threshold to decide whether to put it on the site (the score next to the smiley icon). The
model is still in beta and isn’t 100% accurate, you may see the odd bad news story filtering through. You can help us
improve the predictions by flagging an article that you don’t think is good news.
